Has technology changed the way we look for solutions?

Last week I gave my 12-year-old niece a ride in my old car, which has manual roll-down windows. I found out after the 30-minute ride that she had been sweating in the back seat, thinking there was no way to roll down the window.

How has technology changed the way you think? When was the last time you looked at a map? How about a cookbook? How many phone numbers do you actually know? Do your kids know what a CD or a record is?

My experience with my niece got me thinking – am I holding myself back because I am too reliant on newer technologies? The tools we have now are fantastic, and we should benefit from them, but could we also be missing something? Could we be sitting in a sweaty car when we could manually roll the window down?
