Spice it up

I recently read that 95% of corporate board seats are filled through the network of the sitting board. Thus, the issue of public companies lacking board diversity is perpetuated and requires innovation to change.

Corporate boards are not the only ones limiting their purview.  You might be, too.

Do you always get your news from the same sources – perhaps from sources that share your political point of view? Do you reach out to the same peers for advice and insight? Do you tend to prefer to conduct your online searches using the same search engine?

Spice it up. Try the “other side’s” media outlet. Ask for advice from someone outside your network and check out a new browser. You might gain sight into a new view on the ordinary.
