It’s that time of year when you made a resolution and now you have to get into action. Typically we are all looking to break a bad habit or create new (better) habits.
Your first memory of the word “habit” is probably not a good one; your mother scolding you for biting your nails. Your father yelling at you, “Why don’t you put things back where they belong?”. These are bad habits – and unfortunately our perception of the word tends to get worse with age. You developed a bad habit of eating junk food and now you’re gaining weight. You tried smoking only to discover it became an addiction – more bad habits. No wonder we cringe at the sound of the word.
Over the next few weeks, we will be discussing the ins and outs of habits and how to make them work for you. They can make you happier and more successful in your personal and professional life.
