The power of questions
You’ve spent a great deal of time and energy preparing for your chosen profession.
You’ve probably gone to college, read books, watched videos, and followed professionals you aspire to be like online.
But there is more to learn. In addition to all the lofty learning, there are little things that will help you professionally. One of them is the power of asking questions.
Here’s a simple approach for you to try.
Develop a list of 3 questions to ask at every encounter you have.
Why, you ask?
- Three questions show you are engaged in the conversation. You’re not passive. You care, and that matters in life.
- Armed with questions you appear more confident; like you know where you’re going. That’s important in business and in your personal life, too.
- Lastly, you are developing an important habit that will help you all the days of your life. Questions make you look like a far better job candidate than somebody who has no questions to ask. Asking questions on your first date will help you determine whether you want a second one. Asking questions of your server at a restaurant can help you order the right entree. Save time. Ask questions!
And if you have any questions about questions, let us know. You never know, we could learn some things from each other. Feel free to ask us questions.
