Not at my best – how about you?

Blame it on the pandemic, my wife, my kids, the neighbors, the random guy walking down my street. I’ve got a bone to pick with just about everyone these days. You may feel this way, too.

Face it, we miss each other – our friends, loved ones, co-workers. We’re social beings, so being distanced or having to speak to each other behind masks that cover our expressions just doesn’t fulfill us in the same way. The emotional connection behind a mask is at best minimized the experience and at worst is creating misunderstandings. We need to see the smiles. We need to feel a strong connection.

Do I have a bone to pick with everyone? No. I just miss the hugs and the spontaneity of interacting with anybody who comes my way.. without worrying about distance or whether my mask is on just right.

I miss Victoria and Eliza, my elderly mom…and even the random guy walking down the street:)
