Creativity

I will own it, I’m a café hopper.  Yup, prior to all of us having to stay at home, I would spend my days camped out in various cafes. Peete’s in Lexington center is where I liked to do my creative work. I would get a window seat and when I gazed up to think I could watch the world tick by and get inspiration. Kickstand Café in Arlington, that’s my hyper-focus spot when I’m hungry – great food, camped noisy space where you have to have tunnel vision to get anything done. For marathon work and call sessions – Capital One café at Market Street in Lynnfield.  They have two enclosed offices where you can work all day.  If I arrived late, no worries, my pal Alex would be there, and if I needed to make a call he would willingly trade the glass office for my seat at the table when I needed. We don’t know much about each other, he’s a programmer I’m a strategist, but we both needed quiet for our work.

What I have learned is I need different environments for different kinds of work. Access to a variety of spaces is quite limited for me these days.  So I’m dissecting what I need to inspire creativity, what I need to hyper focus, and what I need to crank through my marathon days.  I would love to hear what you are finding works for you.
