COVID-19 Business Trajectory Model

As we move through this crisis, businesses and their target audiences will pass through 3 phases:

  1. Stabilize
  2. Normalize
  3. Actualize

In phase 1 your audience is seeking some form of Stabilization.  They want insight and understanding of what is happening and how it impacts them.  They are focused on their safety, their family and their basic needs.

Once they are feeling their basic needs are met, they are ready to settle into the new norm.  Here they want routine, the opportunity to innovate, think and act with purpose. They want to Normalize.

Finally, as people see the light at the end of the tunnel, they are ready to Actualize.  They want to get back to the old way of being, to capitalize on opportunity, connect and make up for lost time.

As you think about communicating with your audiences be sure you are aligning your message with their needs and mindset.
