The power of choice

Have you heard of the “Quarantine 15”? This is what people are jokingly calling those extra lbs. that have been gained since we went into shelter-in-place. Apparently, after several months of this now, some are looking at themselves and realizing that their practices/choices/priorities have changed, and maybe not for the better.

On the flip side, a relative of mine remarked recently that since the outbreak they have found that the amount of money in their bank account each month has gone up significantly. After some examination they discovered that the amount they spend on food, even with dining by takeout occasionally, has gone significantly down.

Whether or not weight gain or more money in the bank has been part of your COVID-19 experience, you probably have experienced one or two changes to the way you do things on a daily basis. Some has been forced on you. However, in both of the cases listed above, the results these individuals are experiencing are a result of choices.

We all find ourselves in a new world, a new situation. Will your choices be a detriment, or a benefit? It’s all up to you.
